An updated version of Seas0nPass jailbreak tool has been released by The FireCore team. This updated version of Seas0nPass incorporates the latest kernel based exploit from GreenPois0n to untether jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1. Using this updated version of Seas0nPass you can jailbreak Apple TV 2G untethered on iOS 4.2.1. For your kind information Seas0nPass is similar to Sn0wbreeze for Windows or PwnageTool for Mac. It can create custom jailbroken .IPSW files for Apple TV 2G. Windows version of Seas0nPass is going to be released soon. Currently Seas0nPass is available only for Mac OS X. Simply follow the step by step instructions posted below to jailbreak Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.2.1 untethered with Seas0nPass. Before following the steps you must have iTunes 10.1.2, Micro USB cable, Seas0nPass, and iOS 4.2.1 for Apple TV. Now follow the steps carefully.


STEP 1. First you have to download Seas0nPass and then launch it.

STEP 2. In order to build your own custom jailbroken 4.2.1 firmware for Apple TV simply you have to select “Create IPSW” option.

STEP 3. Now Seas0nPass will download all the required files for creating custom firmware.

STEP 4. When Seas0nPass will prompt you, using a micro USB cable connect your Apple TV. Now you have to hold down both the ‘PLAY/PAUSE’ and ‘MENU’ buttons for 7 seconds.

STEP 5. Now iTunes will open automatically in order to start the restore process.

STEP 6. After some time iTunes will confirm the restore when complete.
