Good news for Mac OS X users. Now you will be able to make HD video calls on your mac. Apple has announced the release of FaceTime for Mac OS X users. Once you have installed this app on your Mac then simply you have to enter your Apple ID then you will be able to make video call to another Mac, iPhone 4, or an iPod touch. You can also make HD video calls at 720p on supported Intel-based Macs. You don’t need to enter your contacts from scratch you can use your existing Address Book contacts to make calls. You can review your past calls quickly with Recents.




You should note that in order to make HD video calls you will need to have a built-in FaceTime HD camera and 1-Mbps upstream and downstream Internet connection. For normal video calls you will need to have a built-in FaceTime camera and a 128-Kbps upstream and downstream Internet connection.

FaceTime is compatible with Mac OS X version 10.6.6 or later. It is 16.8 MB of size. FaceTime is available through the Mac App Store in the Social Networking category. It costs $0.99 USD. You can download and get more information about FaceTime from here [iTunes Link]
