Do you want to create an alias of a file, folder, or application instantly on your Mac OS X? Well, Now you can create an alias of a file, folder, or application quickly on your Mac OS X. For this simply hold down the Command+Option keys as you drag any folder, file, or application to another location. You should note that the alias will be created in the location that you dropped the selection to and the original item will stay in place.



You can see the screenshot posted above which shows VLC is dragged from the Applications folder to the desktop. This is done by holding Command+Option and the Alias to VLC is created on the desktop. In this way you can create an alias of a file, folder, or application instantly.
