Good news for Mac OS X users, Office for Mac 2011 SP1 will be released next week. According to The Loop, Microsoft is going to release Office for Mac 2011 Service Pack 1 next week. It will bring new features, enhancements, and number of fixes. Office for Mac 2011 SP1 will include support for syncing calendars to iPhone, iPod touch and iPad via Sync Services. According to Pat Fox, Microsoft’s Senior Director of Product Management, this was one of the most requested features from Office for Mac 2011 users.
You will be able to sync your Outlook calendars, tasks, notes, contacts with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad via Sync Services. Outlook will include new features such as editing of existing messages, support for server-side rules in Exchange, redirect and resend buttons for mail.
